Issue 43: Turning old issues into evergreen guides
Your back catalogue is full of material that new readers will never scroll to. Here is how to reuse it.
New readers rarely scroll back through two years of issues. But your archive probably contains your best, most practical writing.
Find the candidates
Look for issues that people still click on months later, or that you find yourself linking to in replies. These are your future guides.
Rewrite, do not repost
A guide is not an old issue with a new title. Remove the week-specific parts, combine related issues, update the facts, and add a clear structure with headings.
Give it a home
Put guides somewhere readers can browse by topic, with clear labels for what is free. That is exactly why we built our library.
Keep a list
Our archive clean-up checklist includes a step for spotting issues that are ready to become guides.
